This course covers the USDOT hazmat regulatory requirements for transporting portable nuclear gauges. It is designed as a refresher course for persons who have already completed nuclear gauge safety training. Hazmat refresher training is required every 3 years.

This course is acceptable in all states in the U.S.

• General awareness/familiarization training - to provide familiarity with USDOT hazmat requirements designed to enable recognition, identification, and classification of hazardous materials.
• Function-specific training - to enable packaging, marking, labeling and shipping papers for transporting nuclear gauges.
• Safety training - to provide training concerning measures to protect personnel from radiation exposure, methods for avoiding transportation accidents, and emergency response procedures.
• Security awareness training - to provide awareness of security risks and methods to enhance security during transportation.
